Smolder grew up in the wilds of Vitalus, surrounded by pure magic uninterrupted by cities or marketplaces. Unfortunately, she never got to see any of it. Both of her parents where extremely controlling and trips outside of their den was rare, and when she did get to go outside one or both of them were glued to her side. She grew up isolated and extremely bored, attempting to escape any chance she got despite the dangerous world she was told was out there. Of course, she never made it far, and each time she was caught she was meet with harsh punishment but just the thrill of getting a little farther than the last time made it worth it for her.
One day she slipped out completely undetected, wandering farther than she ever had until she crossed paths with another vayron. She was ecstatic but the two only managed to exchanged names before her parents rushed over, one attacking and chasing away the stranger and the other dragging her back to the den. Shocked that she had gotten so far without his noticing, her father attempted to magically chain her to their home so she would be permanently tied to it. Smolder saw this and lashed out attacking her father and preventing him from completing the spell, leaving for good that night.
The outside world was everything she was hoping for and more, seeking out every thrill and rush she could now that she was free. She found that sneaking into and taking from the fanciest buildings she could find was the most fun, the trophies that came with her robberies where a plus as well. Soon she was collecting vays to join her, creating a group that used soul bonds to organize and carry out complex schemes. The three of them quickly growing close, Smolder being incredibly smug about her role of "leader." However, they were forced to go on the run after one of their robberies started a fire that killed the owners that were still inside their mansion. Her dad arrived upon seeing fire, a part of a swarm of hired guards for the rich family. He was killed in the struggle, Smolder, Allure and Rune managing to escape.
All three are now on the run, going from place to place to avoid the rich family's guards and the king's forces attempting to bring them to justice. She doesn't feel any guilt about her dad's fate, instead enjoying what feels like finally being free from a shackle all while she gets to venture all around the world.
