Rune grew up poor, living in between the wild Vitalus forest and a small city. He and his elderly mother struggled to get by, her being unable to hunt for food or build a stable home due to her age. So as soon as he was old enough, Rune started seeking out work to buy what they couldn't get for themselves. he took up whatever odd job or opportunity he could, getting the most Krones from fighting in local underground matches. It gave him just enough to get himself and his mother a place to call home, but it wasn't enough to cover the magic fee the healers charged once her health started declining.
So, when a stranger approached him and offered him a third of whatever she and her partner could steal if he watched their backs, he took up her offer. He was able to cover enough of the magic fees to heal his mother so she could handle a journey, taking her to a nicer city that had cleric and doctors willing to work for free. but even without the need for the Krones he stuck around the small group, growing a deep bond overtime.
He became an official part of the group rather quickly, and the two continued on with their little raids while Rune watched out for any danger. They only took from those who had so much they wouldn't notice any was missing, so he didn't feel too bad about it, and he did enjoy the company of the two more bold reosean. It didn't stay just fun and games for long though, when one day the mansion they were raiding was set ablaze killing the owners inside. the group of three where blamed for the deaths and guards on the scene were quick to try and apprehend them. Runes mother noticed the fire and came to check in and when she saw her son in a tussle, she tried to help free him. but was killed in the struggle.
rune, smolder and allure are now on the run, going from place to place to avoid the rich family's guards and the king's forces attempting to bring them to justice. he won't speak of what happened that day but has only drawn closer to the only two vays he considers family that he has left.
