[Comm] Reinhold and Virgo Sustain Trial
Reinhold led his friend along the wide paved streets of the capital, the well worn stones were exceptionally smooth under foot from the years upon years of use but the meticulous maintenance of the many royally funded public works divisions kept the old stone looking pristine. The street was large enough for two carriages to pass each other and still leave a safe distance for citizens to walk as well. Lining the streets were large impressive merchant stalls with large draping tapestry awnings providing both shade and extra space for the merchants to advertise their various wares. Everywhere Virgo looked there was something odd and unique that he had never seen before. The sky colored puller had of course visited the various markets in his own kingdom's capital but the culture of the surface kingdom Reinhold hailed from was vastly different resulting in daily necessities unlike anything found in the sky kingdom. Virgo could barely contain his excitement as the princely duo slowly traveled down the avenue. Many of the merchants immediately recognized the akhal prince of the kingdom and heartily sung his praises while trying to call him over to browse their wares. Reinhold knew they just wanted him to buy their wares for the publicity and the ability to boast that the prince buys their products but for Virgos sake every time the sky colored puller showed interest he too stopped to examine whatever the merchant was peddling.
As the spring festival was right around the corner many of the stalls were primarily selling goods in relation to the holiday and the shiny prince was more than happy to take the time to explain his kingdom's cultural practices. Seeing the pale blue and pink pullers eyes sparkle in excitement for the festival also made the shiny prince feel good. The plan for today was to enjoy the local markets and let Virgo explore the business district to his heart's content and then finish the day with a visit to one of the most highly praised restaurants in the kingdom. Reinhold smiled to himself in satisfaction, his plan was perfect and was sure to both wow his friend and also ensure he had a great time at his own pace. Not to mention this also was a perfect opportunity to boast about the many fantastic aspects of his beloved country! Reinhold glanced back over his shoulder to the small group of attendants slowly tailing the two princes, when he caught his personal attendants eye they gave him a cheeky smile and a thumbs up. Something about the impish glint in their eyes felt wrong like they were misunderstanding something but before Reinhold could ask them what unnecessary thoughts they were having Virgo excitedly hopped in front of him. "Reinhold! These little statues are delightful!" the pale puller gestured enthusiastically at a stand covered in various hand carved statues of various sizes. Virgo pointed at a section of the stall filled with sets of two figures of noticeably better craftsmanship than some of the others. "Especially these ones! Who are they meant to be?" Virgo asked as he barely managed to control the happy swishing of his long fluffy tail.
Reinhold examined the statues his friend had indicated and smiled when he realized which ones caught his friends eye. He glanced up at the stall owner who gave a pleasant relaxed smile offering for the prince to explain to his friend and not butting in on the two royals conversation. "These statues are of my mother and father, the King-" He pointed to one of the statues who depicted a regal and masculine vayron garbed in magnificent flowing robes and a high pointed crown on its head. He shifted his to point at the other statue making up the other half of the matching pair, an elegant statue depicting another sleeker more feminine vayron with soft and kind features clad in a gorgeous multilayered dress and a smaller but just as impressive crown on its head. "and the Queen." Virgo smiled at the two statues and couldn't help but appreciate how the two seemed to be depicted in all the works around them as both strong rulers but also as a wonderful symbol of a perfect pair. He could tell just from the way the townspeople depicted their rulers that they thought highly of their rulers. Just as he was about to move on another set of statues caught his eye, these statues depicted a puller with a very familiar chiseled jawline and elegant deposition in regal princely garb. Virgo flashed a cheeky grin and held up the statue to his companion, "And who, is this?" Reinhold was flustered for a moment as the tiny statue of himself stared back at him, for some reason seeing his friend holding a tiny version of himself with such a devious grin took him off guard. Thankfully before the prince could stutter out a response one of their attendants stepped forward and gently intruded. "Forgive me my lords, but your dinner reservation is in thirty minutes."
Taking the timely out he had been provided, Reinhold quickly turned to the attendant to hide his flustered expression. "Oh is it already the time? Come Virgo, you simply must try the foie gras. This restaurant is famous for the rich flavors they are able to imbue in their dishes!" The shiny prince quickly rambled before stiffly marching in the direction of the restaurant. Virgo giggled at how obviously flustered his friend was before secretly buying the statue from the merchant and quickly following him. He tucked his prize away in his bag for safe keeping before trotting up to walk shoulder to shoulder with his fellow prince. The duo quickly arrived at the restaurant and Virgo was impressed by the front of the building. It was elegant, stylish almost like a mansion on its own, the only indications that it was a restaurant were the high class outdoor eating areas and the long line of well dressed nobles lined up in front of the entrance. Reinhold led his friend past the line of nobles who graciously bowed as their prince and his companion walked to the front entrance. Standing outside the door at a little podium was a young well dressed human who was keeping an entry book, upon seeing the prince approach the well trained staff immediately jumped into action to provide first class service to the royal and his guest. The two princes were quickly ushered into the restaurant and into the vip eating area where there was only a single table set up in a magnificently and tastefully decorated room. The two took up positions opposite of each other at the dining table and excitedly examined the menu while chatting about the mouth watering descriptions listed under each dish's name.
While taking their time to make their dinner selections, the wait staff took care of their important guests' needs without needing to ask a single question. Like a silent wave they entered the room, placed horderves and drinking glasses, presented Reinhold with a wine menu and got the prince's selection without the golden puller needing to utter a single word. The two princes eventually made their selections and passed their preferences on to the staff while still continuing to chat. Virgo was absolutely thrilled with the restaurant, it reminded him of a high class place he occasionally visited back in his own kingdom and he was sure that if Reinhold liked this place he would also love the restaurant in his home country. Just as he was about to suggest taking his friend to visit the other restaurant sometime he remembered that was currently not possible. The sky puller visibly drooped a bit remembering his friend couldn't visit his home which the akhal puller immediately noticed, in an effort to lighten the mood Reinhold spoke up quickly. "So, you noticed all the flower themed ornaments and colors everywhere in the district right? The festival is actually scheduled to start in two days, just in time for us to enjoy it together!" The sky-colored puller immediately grew excited at the idea of enjoying a festival with his friend and started to enthusiastically bombard his friend with what he could expect from a surface festival. Virgos rapid fire questions were coming at him so fast, Reinhold found it a little difficult to cut in and answer them before yet another set rushed to fill their place.
Just as the akhal puller was starting to be buried by the onslaught the wait staff quickly flooded into the room carrying the main course of their meal. The staff set the large and ornately decorated dishware in front of the princes before gracefully bowing and departing the room. Both princes were delighted by the artistic way in which their dishes had been arranged and the mouth watering aroma wafting off their meals immediately made both their mouths water. The two princes took up their silverware and both displayed excellent well practiced dining etiquette as they enjoyed their succulent dinner while continuing their conversation at a much slower pace. The food was absolutely delicious, the chief behind these masterpieces was obviously highly skilled and held a passion for cooking. Each bite you could feel the care and skill with which the dishes were crafted, from the gentle crispy texture of the vegetables to the soft tender way the meat practically melted in their mouths. These dishes were easily some of the best the two princes had ever experienced and Reinhold was thrilled to see his friend enjoy the restaurant so much. As the two moved on to a light desert which was just as immaculate as the main course, Reinhold smiled that once more his plan to wow his friend had succeeded perfectly.
This one got slightly delayed as i got called in for some impromptu military stuff this past week/weekend BUT at least it was done a lot faster than the last!

one more prompt remains!
