Keepers Prompt 3

The trio of friends had just finished regailing the group of pups with their topside stories, which they hoped the youngins would take some valuable lessons away from when they heard a slow bell-like chime ring out through the halls, the group observes as all Haedians stop what they are currently occupied with, crystals which were being read from as well as scrolls and books were put to the side or back into the shelves as the Haedians got up and headed deeper into the complex.

„What is that about?“ asked Varos giving the quiet Headians that were walking past them a quizzical look.

„I‘m unsure, but I think we should follow them to see what this all means.“ noted Maple interest piqued as to what the ringing meant.

Katholes didnt have anything to object to the idea of following the group of Keeper haedians, they too were curious as to what was happening to tell their friends not to follow them.

Their combined curiosity getting the better of them the three friends followed the Keeper Haedians, finding themselves waiting in front of a large crystalline door after a bit of a walk only for them to swing open and reveal a giant hall behind them beckoning everyone to get inside.

The hall that invited them was the Chronical Hall as the Haedian waiting near the entrance of the hall told them. They had at first given the trio of friends a judging glance but their stance on them had softened after they talked with some other Clanmembers who informed the HAedian at the front that these outsiders were nice and genuine had interesting things to share, plus they had acted wellbehaved in their territory so far, so they werent too afraid that the trio might  do anything malicious after being invited into the Chronical Hall.

„This is a place that is of utmost importance to us Keeper Haedians, this is where we store sacred knowledge and the wisdom of Haedians long passed.“

Maple was very impressed with the intricately decorated interior of the hall, this part really reminded her of a library yet most shelves didnt hold books but crystals with runes etched into them that gently floated in the bookshelves, and there were so many bookshelves, it seemed like neverending  rows of them that seemed to stretch on forever. A lot of rows with tables were set up in this hall, allowing for plenty of reading space for those Haedians who wanted to indulge in a good book- or rather crystal.

Small study groups were already forming as the Haedians browsed the bookshelves for crystals on topics they were looking to expand their knowledge on.

The group of pups pushed past the trio of friends eagerly running up to a pair of elderly Keeper Haedians who were beckoning them over with the wink of a clawed hand, it appeared that the pups were about to be read a story by the elderly Haedians.

„This is so cool…“ said Varos, turning to the Haedian that had shortly spoken with them at the entrance „Say, do you have cookbooks perhaps?“

the Keeper Haedian looked back at the small chaser who was smiling wide back at them, at first puzzled why they‘d look for something like that first  when there were so many other things to read up on and check out in the Chronical Hall. „Uh, come with me I will take you to that section of the Chronical Hall.“  the other two friends followed, there was nothing in particular that Katholes wanted to check out themself in this vast library but they were happy to just tag along and talk with Varos and Maple about the things they wanted to read up on.

„I‘m mostly interested in Haedian culture myself, theres so much I still have to learn and would like to learn. Im hopefull that I can make a lot of friends amongst the Haedians but want to know more about their way of life first.“

„Do you really think we‘d have to read a crystal on this? I think just talking with the Keepers would suffice right?“ said Katholes being entirely genuine but Maple shook her head „You heard the haedian near the entrance! this is a place where knowledge of past Haedians is stored too! I think it would be very interesting to learn where certain traditions and cultural aspects stem from, because they all have ties to the past.“ said Maple, a spark of excitement and genuine curiosity in her eyes that couldn‘t be missed. Katholes chuckled in response, amused by their friends eagerness to learn. „You and me both then.“ they had walked to an empty table in the meantime sitting down to wait for Varos and Maple to return with the crystals they were interested in. It gave them just enough time to ponder how the Haedians actually managed to use crystals as a way to store information. Katholes secretly wondered if they could even access the knowledge within but that was a worry theyd address soon enough. For now they looked through the Chronical Hall, keeping an eye out for their friends to return to the table.
