"We're lucky they agreed to a compromise." Xayah mused aloud as she helped repair fishing nets. A tedious, mind numbing job and one that was incredibly time consuming. Apparently these were ripped when the group had come to steal the night before, so it only made sense that they also had to fix them.

Not far from her and the others was Cislunar, the guard helping with the processing and quartering of various kills. It was a messy task but he, like the others, was not about to complain at all. Of all the things to do, they'd lucked out with simply repairing and replacing what they'd broken or stolen. Then from there, all they had to do was come and help with hunting, crafting, or whatever else in exchange for supplies. By all means, this clan could've demanded much much more from them. Didn't have to help the Forgotten at all, and could've run out the various vayrons and tyrians that'd come from the surface.

"Very lucky. This will help the Forgotten long term, and likely help us with being able to go to other clans. We at least know there are several, but we don't know what they're going to be like. How things differ between them. Just the contrast between these two clans is drastic, and we only just got down here." Another vayron mused, also tasked with repairing the torn and ruined nets. "I'm not sure what lays below, but I am... wary."

Xayah hummed in agreement, ears flicking back as she thought over it all. This was certainly not what she expected when she agreed on this expedition, but going back now wasn't an option. As long as she didn't have to steal to gain favor in the other clans, then she'd be fine. And even if she did have to steal, Xayah would make the best of it with whatever reason was given to her by the clan. This wasn't like the surface world. The haedians had been completely isolated from everything. The cultures and practices with each clan would likely be very unique and drastically different from one another. Equal parts exciting and nerve wracking, if she were to be asked.

"Have you heard from Cailu yet? We're supposed to continue on soon." Another vayron asked, lifting their head from where they were focused on their task to look around and try to spot the haedian.

"I haven't seen him, but we'll likely leave after we finish helping here and getting the Forgotten established with their new agreement. Maybe another day at most. We still have to speak with Troall as well, remember? She's the one who truly decides if we can even go beyond this point. If she's happy with this arrangement, then we should be okay." Xayah said as she finished tying off the last knot on her current net. It was a challenge to not tangle the large net as she moved to put it up with the rest that were repaired. Then she was grabbing another and settling down to start the process all over again.

There was a comfort in monotony such as this, and is was easy to simply zone out a bit as she repaired the net. Idly melodies escaping her in quiet hums to fill the silence of her brain while she worked on one net after the next. It was only after she finished her last net that she stood up and shook the stiffness from her body.

"Xayah, could you help with organizing all of these ores and building supplies? The storage got knocked down, and there's all sorts of ore and nail types everywhere." A haedian asked her, weary of the time consuming task that lay before them. Xayah nodding and following was a minor comfort, though.

Xayah trailed after the haedian and into the storage room. The shelves and drawers had been fixed and put in their proper places already, but the mess still lay on the ground. Thankfully, each spot was carefully labeled. Which removed a decent bit of effort from her having to find where each one was supposed to go. The runner settled in on one side of the room, bright eyes picking out a shorter nail type to focus on picking up and sorting for now. There was enough in the room that with the both of them actively picking up and organizing, it would take a good deal of time. Something that didn't truly bother Xayah, really.

"Troall seemed pleased with the arrangement, by the way. I heard her mention it while speaking to the higher ups." The haedian mused aloud after a while of silence, effectively snapping Xayah out of her idle train of thought so she could look at them. "She'll talk with you and the others after the evening meal tonight. And, well... thank you. I'm not sure how this all would've gone otherwise, but now we actually won't have to struggle to get by."
