Keepers Clan Prompt 2

The Keepers abode was breathtaking even more so to those learned and scientific reoseans, which sadly none of the friends were with the exception of the chaser interested in the culinary arts. 

Having regaled Khaldor with stories from the topside and sharing a few things that the haedians might not have known about the trio of friends soon left Khaldors chambers again only to be swarmed by a small army of pups who had heard of the travellers arrival to their clans territory. 

"Please tell us a story!" said one of the pups who was being talked over by one of their friends who pleaded "please show us some cool topside things!" the other pups in the group took this as an invitation to all talk at the same time over one another. Maple tried to calm the hoard of knowledgehungry haedian pups down by waving her hands in a manner to implore them to relax. "Now now, theres no need to be impatient. Im sure that my friends and I would be more than happy to teach you a few things." said the tyrian extending a hand to point at her two friends, the grumpy, currently frowning Katholes and the happy-go-lucky cook Varos.

"What would you like to know?" asked Varos a gentle smile on his face. Katholes watched the group of pups but felt like they had little to share, perhaps once their friends had talked for a bit they'd realise that they also had some valueable things to share with the haedian pups.

The question from the chaser sparked a debate between the pups who were chatting with one another all at once, before they settled on one thing.

"How do Reoseans do magic on the surface?-" "and what is it like?" added another before a different pup interjected with "Oh and what do you like to do the most?" it was a barrage of questions and the three friends quietly decided without so much as needing to talk about it that theyd all cover one of the pups questions.

Katholes stepped up who had been brooding in the background until this moment, "Well for me to answer that I would need to know how you lot do magic down here. Is there a difference?" they asked giving the pup who asked a quizzical look.

"Ah well we just kinda concentrate and then..." the small pup exhaled the tiniest puff of fire escaping their maw that was more smoke than fire. "Tada!" said the pup, proudly puffing out their chest. It was so adorable that Katholes would be lying if they said they werent at least a bit endeared by them.

"Well I never really liked using magic, but Ive heard stories of others unlocking theirs through hard studies. Magic comes easy to some and they might even awaken it accidentally, others have to go on a soul-searching journey or study a lot to unlock their magical capabilities. I never bothered to really to unlock mine, but if i close my eyes and concentrate then I can feel it." they said doing what they had just mentioned. "It feels like a small fire, right where my heart should be, its warm but not uncomfortably so." they concluded, looking to see if the pups had any more questions, observing as some of them followed suit and also closed their eyes to introspect and 'feel' their spark.

Seeing as Katholes had told their story Maple followed suit. "The topside is quite different from here but similar in many ways. Theres blue sky overhead instead of a rocky cavern wall, all manner of animals call the grassy lands their home. Vitalus, the continent we are on is known for being rich in wild magic that naturally occurs and permiates the contient as a whole. Its a vast continent, consisting of floating islands, large landmasses and surrounded by great ocean. Magical crystal formations grow across the entirety of Vitalus and there is a bunch of creatures that you can find nowhere else other than Vitalus. I personally as well as my friends come from Warrenfall, which while in of itself is a very pretty continent, consisting predominantly of forests and meadows, isnt as spectacular as Vitalus is. After all Vitalus has Gryphons, Dragons and Unicorns, we have Horses, Lizards and Birds of Prey in Warrenfall, still super cool, but far from being as cool as Vitalus." the tyrian glanced back at happy pup faces who were intently listening to everything the large brown tyrian was saying. "It's a wonderful place where we all work tirelessly together to make every day better than the last! Oh and- we also all have things we specialize in meaning we can all work together to create cool things in collaboration."

"As for what I like to do most..." started Varos, turning the pups attention to them. "That is a very individual thing, Katholes likes to bartend and look out for his friends, whereas Maple loves to make friends and eat good food. As for me... I'm a chef and love to trade recipes with anyone who likes cooking! Sometimes I enjoy daydreaming about new culinary creations of my own making and whilst I've created a few signature dishes already, I also enjoy sticking to the basics." the chaser felt super proud especially as the pups ooo'ed and awww'ed in response. He was afterwards bombarded with questions as to how best to prepare the pups favorite ingredients or how best to recreate certain dishes.

Katholes observed his friends and how happy they were, enjoying the small moment in the center of attention for his friend group. These pups were knowledge hungry yet also polite and so adorable. The friends would allow the pups to continue asking questions that were plaguing them for about another hour until they could feel themselves getting tired from being bombarded with so many questions. 

"Okay-" started Maple, before yawning "I think that was enough for our little topside interview session. Hopefully you all learnt a bit about the Reoseans of the topside due to our retellings." the pups seemed bummed at first that they had to let Maple, Varos and Katholes go but they were understanding, just happy that they had gotten to ask their questions.
