The Golden Tale [Keepers]

While the three Laceworks wrote their information down on paper, Khaldor would return to them. Having brought with him a golden colored crystal bearing its own runes. “I have returned with a gift of knowledge! May this help you along with your journey ahead!”

Khaldor would pass the crystal over to Paris before backing up to watch them with much anticipation. Seeming hopeful that they could unlock the secrets that it held within its hard shell.

Paris would nod, “Thank you! I’m sure it will!” Speaking with her naturally soft voice. Soon enough presenting the crystal to her brother and niece, “Let’s all do this one together.”

Cairn would seem pleased with this idea, “That sounds good to me!” Placing her paws upon the crystal’s surface as well.

Though Hiroshima would have some doubts that he could even pull it off, it showed on his face enough that Paris would pause and go over to her brother. “Hey it’s going to be alright..Just follow our lead. You might have been trying too hard earlier, just let the visions come to you, don’t force it.” She would softly try to encourage the male.

He would huff softly, “Alright… if you say so. Hopefully I don’t break it.”

“You won’t.”

“You better not…” Khaldor would softly warn from his spot near the back of the cave section. His precious crystals seemed quite important to him based upon his comment and behavior. Such ancient knowledge he must have had within these stone walls.

Hiroshima would reluctantly join his sister and daughter in touching the golden crystal. Each closing their eyes to focus on the energy that it held within it. Paris seeing the inner magic of the crystal as a bright green, Cairn seeing a deep purple and Hiroshima seeing his fire colored magic.

No matter the color of magic they saw, it was a similar vision that laiden within the crystalline structure. A white figure, a reosean, a runner with feathered wings. They didn't hear the name said but they could feel it as The Holy One. A reosean that they all were too young to know even the story of well. A life that now flashed before them, how the Haedians even knew of this baffled the three Laceworks. But here it was before them, The Holy One, they very embodiment of peace or so they always had been told.

What had lain in the visions seemed to be glimpses in Holy’s history, from the alliance, to stressed bonds, pleading for peace, and an ultimate betrayal that crushed society. All of it was shown to them as misty imagery within their very minds. It was hard for the group to comprehend why they were being shown all this. But the vision would soon fade in their mind's eye, leaving them holding the golden crystal once more.

Was this a sense into why they ended up in the caves? Or perhaps this was a warning into what greed and power were capable of. They didn't dare ask Khaldor either way. Perhaps he was too young to even know that answer anyhow. It would take Cairn, Paris and Hiroshima quite a bit to shake off this vision and return to the here and now.

“That was quite something.” Paris would comment to the other two.

“I didn’t expect that kind of information on display.” Cairn would comment.

Hiroshima would seem to be in thought over it, not having much to say about it. Though the male did appear to the other two to be sad over it.

“Are you alright there, brother?”

Hiroshima would look up to his sister's face. “Oh.. sorry. It's just I don't know what I expected. I should be used to how bad people can be, but seeing someone like that who did nothing wrong in the work get killed by someone she cared about… it just hit harder than I thought it would.”

The male didn't like to talk about his past, nor what he was all put through when he was kidnapped. It was hard for him. Knowing that others went through the struggles that Holy did in back then brought back his own pain. Though he would try to shake it off for the sake of their journey.

Khaldor would come back over to take the golden crystal from the group. Returning it to its special place soon thereafter. “Now if you’d follow me I can lead you in the direction toward the next clan. But be warned your journey will face more challenges ahead. Things usually get harder before they improve.”

With this ominous warning Khaldor would lead Cairn, Paris and Hiroshima towards the next clan. Walking among halls of crystals and stone tablets as they went through the rest of the Keepers territory. Stopping at the edge of it all, “Just head that way and make a right.” He would gesture in the direction to go.

Option 1: "As the story unfolds from the crystal right in front of you, a golden marked Haedian steps up to you. They hand you a crystal without a word before stepping back.
Draw or write your Reosean receiving this crystal from Khaldor and/or viewing its contents. It could be a normal Haedian celebration, or perhaps something else than what you expected."
