Crystal Writing [Keepers]

Once the applause died down, Khaldor would lead Nasale, Osaka and Sitka to another section of the vast library. One more quiet with blank crystals and a large stone table. The clan’s leader would wander over to the shelf of blank crystals before grabbing a select three.

Presenting each of the Vayrons with a crystal. Nasale being handed one of a purple hue, Sitka a green, and Osaka a light blue. Only after they each held a crystal would Khaldor explain, “I want you each to add to our library, make the information official that you shared with us today. So that it may outlast this generation and provide for the next.”

Seeming to pause in his words before adding, “But if you cannot figure out our methods of recording information we do have some ink and paper over there on that shelf.” He would gesture over to said shelf as well. After. Explaining what he wanted of them he'd step aside to let them tackle this task.

Osaka would be the first to attempt it, not seeming quite sure how to go about writing on these crystals. But if being in the clans taught him anything he knew it had to do with magic. And so the blue Lacework male would sit down, clear his thoughts and press his head against the smooth surface of the crystal. He would take a deep breath and envision the very nature of his magic. Seeing the cold white glow in his mind's eye and projecting it into the crystal. Letting his magic tell his story.

The surface of the crystal would grow colder in the male’s paws. A small faint glow would appear inside, and grow brighter. Light would appear on the surface as though the very words in his mind etched themselves upon the outside of the crystal. In text akin to those they saw on the shelves in the whole of the library. It would seem to be over when the light died down within the crystal and Osaka would pull away from it. Now seeming ready for a nap, the blue runner would yawn.

Nasale would be the next one to attempt this process. Studying the crystal in her paws for a moment before closing her eyes. For her the magic she was projecting was the color of water. Feeling the coolness and hearing the soft woosh as waves would go in and out. The sense of calmness washing over her as her crystal would growl warm in her paws. Not the warmth of a fire but like the comforting embrace of a loved one. A golden yellow light within the crystal would stirr, shooting out from within like a spider’s web. The golden light outlining the runes as they appeared, but soon after would dissipate. Leaving behind etchings in the glows wake.

Sitka would however seem more hesitant to try this method, glancing over to the shelf with the paper and quill. Oh how tempting it was to go the easy route but that didn't sound fitting for him to do in the end. No he would stick it out and attempt their way despite his weaker magic abilities. The male figured the paper and quill wasn't going anywhere if he did fail and needed a plan b.

The eldest Lacework would sit down with his crystal in his paws, watching it for some time. Trying to get a sense of the magic held within it. Sitka would soon close his eyes and focus his energy on the crystal, keeping calm as he did so. A cool but energetic feeling would come from the crystal and into his paws. It soon felt to him like this sensation would surround him, like the cool crisp air of fall. And a dim yellow light would begin to stir within the crystalline structure.

Something within this crystal felt as though it were calling to him, or perhaps his soul. Though the male couldn't clearly tell what it had been. This didn't stop the flow from getting brighter, nor did it stop the etchings on the surface from appearing. It did however leave Sitka with some questions, but it didn't feel like the correct time to bring them up.

When the three were able to successfully write upon the crystals, Khaldor would seem quite pleased. Coming back over to the group soon enough after they seemed finished. “Thank you! These will be wonderful additions to the library! Now just add them to their proper shelves and you'll be right as crystal.” The leader would take them to the shelves he wanted them added to, letting each of them add their own to the collection.

“Perfect! This information truly helps us greatly, and now a piece of all of you will forever remain.”

Sitka, Osaka and Nasale would seem pleased with their efforts to add to this vast collection of knowledge. Even if what they had was probably similar to what other Reoseans likely shared, it was still apart of themselves and their world.

Option 1: The pups ooh and ahh at your stories, eyes lit up with delight at the newfound knowledge. They place a crystal in your hand, waiting for you to record a summary.
Draw or write your reosean filtering all of their magic into the crystal, or perhaps they are unsure of that method and prefer to stick to quill and paper?
