Forgotten Clan: Sisters 3

There was darkness surrounding them, no one could see anything as they crept toward the next target.

“Something’s wrong,” Troall whispered.

“They’re here!” A voice shouted.

“Shit,” A forgotten haedian hissed, “We’ve been spotted.”

Haedians started attacking out of nowhere shouting they were done with the pranks and this was how they were going to end it. Furor smiled, she was more than happy to take part in a violent fight. Cheiro and Kiamana smiled darkly, these haedians had no idea who was with them.

“Oh, let me join first,” Furor said sharply before she dropped from the ceiling.

Furor dropped into the brighter section of the tunnel where the fight was taking place. She joined with the force of a storm, propelling her through the crowded battleground and knocking haedians away. A few rather large haedians decided to focus on Furor and she easily handled their attacks with laughter.

“Should we help her?” Cheiro asked with a sigh.

“I don’t think she needs help,” Kaimana laughed, “But we could have our own fun.”

Cheiro smiled at her sister as the white empyrian gracefully descended into the fight. Kaimana faded into her ghostly form and began terrorizing the few haedians trying to join Furor’s fight.

“Leave them be,” Kaimana’s cold ethereal voice cut through the noise of battle, “Fight me instead.”

The haedians paled as Kaimana materialized in front of them briefly before she shifted back to her ghost form. She charged them with a high-pitched screech and when the haedians recoiled, she laughed. She would pop in and out of her forms to land an attack and then dodge away.

Not far from the two warring empyrians, Troall made her way toward the seraph empyrian. The fight wasn’t going their way, not that she was surprised. Her clan worked from the shadows for a reason.

“We can’t handle this,” Troall gasped at Cheiro.

“Then let my sisters and I distract them while you make your getaway,” Cheiro said watching her sisters manage to fight back several haedians at once.

Troall nodded and left to inform her clansmen. Cheiro watched her leave before she glided down to the fight. She was immediately met with haedians trying to fight her and she gave them a cold smile before pushing her magic out. Shadows pulled away from her body creating a snake-like shape with glowing red eyes. Cheiro flew at the haedians with her illusion. The haedians ducked and raced around trying to get away.

Cheiro laughed and taunted, “What’s wrong? Let’s fight.”

The three sisters carried on with the fights while Troall ushered her haedians away to safety. When she was clear of the fight she gave the sisters a signal. Upon hearing the whistle, Furor unleashed her storm magic. A thick layer of fog covered everything and darkened any light that might have come from the crystals in the area.

“What’s going on?” A haedian cried in the darkness.

“Stay strong,” another haedian called back, “Don’t let their illusions trick you.”

A second later, Kaimana’s ghost form flashed through the fog creating a bright flash. At the sight of the fear on their faces, Kaimana laughed. Her disembodied voice in this form only added to the terror the haedians were feeling.

“Come out and fight us. Fair and square," a haedian weakly shouted.

“All’s fair,” Kaimana whispered in the haedian’s ear, but when they whipped around Kaimana wasn’t there. She continued the saying in the haedian’s other ear causing the large tyrian to crumple to the ground.

Cheiro was the next one to inflict her mental attacks on the haedians. With her powers, similar to Kaimana, it was the same except instead of a flash of white, it was eerie red eyes flashing around the darkened space. The sisters laughed every time a haedian ran blindly away.

“Okay, okay,” a haedian sobbed, “You can stop, we get it.”

Furor let her magic fade ever so slowly.

“Nah,” Kaimana cackled, “Furor don’t stop now, let them find their way through the fog.”

Cheiro chuckled at her sister’s malevolent attitude. Furor, listening to her sister, strengthened the fog. The haedians scrambled to get away and every so often Kaimana or Cheiro would trip one of the haedians. This would only make them scream and run away quicker.

When they were certain the haedians were gone, Furor eased her magic to vanish. The three sisters sat around laughing at some of the expressions they witnessed. They were talking animatedly to each other, unaware Troall had come back to see how they had done. When the small leader saw the coast was clear she stepped out to interrupt.

“Thank you for the help,” Troall said with a cheeky smile.

“No problem,” Cheiro replied.

“It was fun,” Furor added with a slight smile.

Troall glanced at them before directing them to the next clan. She thanked them once more before parting ways.
