[BRUTES] a worthy opponent

"So…" Zarod spoke as she landed onto the rocks above Adéwalé. "You've managed to beat the best of my clan, welldone." she chuckled, her laugh echoing against the walls of the arena. "Though, might I ask. From one tyrian to another, are you ready to face me?" she asked with a grin, the Empyrian stared up at what might be his future opponent, he thought for a bit, his head looking facing down as he did, then he looked up, his expression still unsure.

"Yeah, I guess I am." he said, wings spread out readying for the impending fight. Zarod smirked as she bent down and lunged towards the larger tyrian who only managed to narrowly dodge her attack before striking her with his tail, sending her rolling back before landing on her feet, claws dragging across the rocky ground, he took it as a chance to fly up to the ledge she was on to hopefully snag some rocks.

"Not bad, not bad." she snorted, shaking off the dust, eyes narrowing at her opponent. "You seem to handle yourself well." her compliment sounded like mockery with a small bit of respect sprinkled in, she flew up and landed onto the Empyrian's back when he managed to grab a few gold rocks into his mouth. Adéwalé gasped and tried to fling her off of his back, thrashing around like a horse trying to kick off a rider. "Did you think it'll be that easy?" she taunted while the larger tyrian rolled onto his back to get her off. Zarod scanned the ground to see if the Empyrian dropped any of the rocks.

Adéwalé took the opportunity to sweep his tail under her feet causing her to fall before attempting to grab more rocks, managing to snag a few more before she grabbed his tail to pull him away. She still wasn't sure what happened to the first rocks he grabbed but shook those thoughts away when he swung his tail back and forth to slither it out of her maw. "You know, you haven't been speaking since the fight started, what's the matter? Cat got your tongue?" Zarod jeered as she leaped towards him, Adéwalé evaded the attack before practically running, sending her on a wild goose chase to get her gold rocks back. He looked behind him only to see nothing until she landed right on top of him, snagging the gold rocks he held in his maw.

He flung her off and began running after her to take them back. It was tough as she was smaller and more agile than him, with his larger body he had to be quick to dodge and evade any obstacles, while she had no problem with going past them, and with the back of his throat aching too, it was hard to focus. Finally, he managed to catch up to her, reaching out and using his maw to grab her tail stopping her in her tracks as she fell letting out an "Oof" sound. The duo wrestled for the rocks, wings flapping and the sounds of growls emitting throughout the arena.

"Give up while you still can, time is going to run out." Zarod growled as she kicked her hind legs, shoving him back, Adéwalé shook his head before lunging towards her, trying to grab her rock or anything that would make her release the rock though he only managed to snap at empty air as she walked and dodged backwards. She simpered at his attempts, not realizing she had cornered herself giving the large tyrian a chance to once again use his tail to bring her to her feet to grab the gold rock that she'd drop, fleeing right after, she chased after him with a laugh, it's been so long since she had a good fight and chase, she wondered why she had stopped.

"Time's up!" a voice rang out, the two tyrians stopped in their tracks, Zarod went to go and gather the remaining rocks she had and dropped them down in front of her, grinning at Adéwalé. "Not many rocks you have there." she pointed out, "although, what happened to the first batch you nabbed from me?" she asked. The tyrian looked at her, held his head up and began to make regurgitating coughing sounds before bringing his head back down, letting saliva covered, gold rocks to slip out of his mouth. "Inconvenient isn't it?" she said with a grimaced expression, after he finished coughing and hacking, "When you jumped on me, I accidentally swallowed the rocks I had." Adéwalé explained between hoarse gasps before going back to coughing. "My apologies," Zarod said, tilting her head down and bringing her claws towards her chest before putting it back down. "Explains why you haven't talked for the rest of the fight." she chuckled, the larger tyrian chuckled too. "Yeah, I suppose so."

Option 2:

Battle is glorious! The competition ramps down as most of the brutes have tired themselves out, retiring themselves to the sidelines to watch. For you, however, this is far from over…

Draw or write your Reosean faced off with one last opponent - the toughest of them all... Zarod. You could try to sneak a few rocks off of her, or fight her for everything she is worth!

Adewale and Zarod
