[TRANQUIL] Prompt 1

Garmr was pumped. If this adventure was going to be all fighting and chaos like the first two clans, he was going to have the best time. He rolled out his shoulders and cracked his neck, preparing to face the next clan. Herja did the same, but she paid attention to Cailu’s expression and his expression told her the next clan was going to be very different. This suspicion was only confirmed when Cailu spoke to Alowyn about the haedians of the Tranquil clan.

All peaceful and caring were the words Cailu used to describe this clan. Alowyn was happy, but Herja had to stop herself from laughing while she watched Garmr’s expression rapidly change.

“You’re joking,” Garmr hissed.

Cailu chuckled, “No.”

Alowyn and Herja watched his body tighten at the idea of being around haedians who didn’t want to fight him. Herja laughed at her partner while Alowyn just shook her head. There was a brief pause before Garmr asked again, but Cailu insisted he wasn’t joking as they continued to walk closer to the Tranquil clan.

Pyrri, the leader of the Tranquil clan, met the group at the entrance of her clan. She welcomed them with a smile, but it was only returned by the empyrian and Cailu. The pair of vayrons sneered as they looked around the colourful space. The reaction to her smile made Pyrri curious about the two vayrons and their immediate dislike of the space that usually brought so much peace and calm to others.

"Pyrri," Cailu greeted the pink haedian.

"Cailu," Pyrri said calmly, "who have you brought with you?"

"This is Alowyn," Cailu started the introductions, "and these two are Herja and Garmr."

There was another series of smiles and grunts before Pyrri gestured for the group to follow her. She explained they'd be helping prepare aid kits for other clans. At the news, Alowyn was excited to do something more in her wheelhouse, while Herja and Garmr shared a distasteful look. As the group traveled further into the tranquil clan, Alowyn felt the atmosphere bring her a sense of peace. However, the aura that usually calmed everyone felt suffocating to the two vayrons, they wanted nothing more than to leave.

Pyrri brought the group to a small working area that was made up of various textiles and intricate tapestries. She gestured for the group to head inside, while she and Cailu stayed by the entrance watching the group inspect the space. Pyrri pointed out a few things that would be important for the kits.

“Alright,” Pyrri said, “We’ll leave you to it.”

Without waiting for a response Pyrri and Cailu walked away leaving the group to work however they wanted to.

“Let’s just leave,” Garmr said once the haedians were out of earshot.

“One kind clan and you’re ready to pack it in?” Alowyn scoffed.

Garmr gave her a warning growl before Herja added, “She’s right, we have to give it a chance.”

Garmr shook his head as he huffed about his frustrations, but he was ignored by his companions. Herja instead started handing out tasks to complete.

“Each of us will have a job to do,” Herja directed, “Alowyn collects items from the shelves, Garmr you bag the items, and I’ll dictate what’s needed in each bag.”

“We’ll rotate tasks,” Alowyn added.

Garmr growled, “Too much work for you?”

“What?” Alowyn rolled her eyes, “No, it could get boring, might want to mix it up.”

Garmr and Alowyn continued their bickering while Herja ignored them and started to set up their workstations. She looked over some of the lists before she turned back to the pair that couldn’t seem to get along.

“Enough,” Herja called, “Let’s get to work so we can leave.”

At the mention of leaving, Garmr immediately started with his task. He set up boxes and bags of various sizes while he waited for Alowyn to collect everything. Everything Alowyn was doing grated on Garmr’s nerves and it only got worse the longer they were in the suffocating space of the Tranquil clan.

Alowyn carefully listened to the items Herja mentioned before she looked through the shelves to find what she needed. Her limbs weren’t as mobile as the haedians, but she was more capable of reaching high than her vayron companions. She collected as much as she could before she turned to the boxes and bags Garmr had waiting. She put the vials of health potions or packages of food next to each container before she turned to get more items.

Herja watched the two work, and it all seemed to be going well. Herja ended up helping Alowyn locate things in the new space while she read things out. The pair made the job go by much quicker than before. They completed three boxes for other clans when a haedian came by to see how everything was going.

“I’m here to pick up some packages,” the haedian said.

Herja nodded, “Those two are for the Forgotten clan, and the last one is for the Brutes.”

“Just three?” The haedian seemed uncertain.

“Is there a problem?” Garmr hissed.

“No,” The haedian smiled, “I was expecting five.”

Alowyn looked around the space and realized they had missed a couple of things. She apologized to the haedian, but the haedian insisted it wasn’t an issue. They would come back later. The courier took the three packages, leaving the group to continue with the last two.  Garmr and Alowyn switched places in their work order, but otherwise, the tasks they completed went by without any problem. No one spoke outside of questions or things needed for the task at hand.
