[FORGOTTEN] PROMPT 2

The trio was meant to meet at the Forgotten clan, but the competition distracted them. Before they could begin walking back with their supplies, Troall seemingly appeared out of nowhere. She was excited to see all the supplies the three had collected. She could sense the tension rolling off Garmr but ignored it.

“Excellent!” Troall’s eyes sparkled, “Do you want to do it again?”

Herja and Garmr nodded without question and began to turn back towards the Brutes’ clan.

Alowyn, on the other hand, said, “Is there another clan? We’ve taken enough from this one.”

Garmr growled at her, letting his frustration show. Herja rolled her eyes at the empyrian's compassion but waited to hear what the small leader had to say.

“They are all a good distance away.” Troall explained, “We can target a different section of this clan, their territory is much bigger than the section we see here.”

Alowyn wasn't completely okay with this alternative, but she accepted it nonetheless. With a nod, Troall guided the three reoseans to another section. On the way, Troall explained that members of her clan would pick up anything they found so they didn't need to worry. All they had to do was bring the stolen supplies far enough from the Brutes' territory and someone would find them.

Several minutes later, the group was in place and Troall had left them to work. Garmr and Herja quickly started to formulate a plan. Alowyn watched them and wondered if this way would be the same as last time.

"If we work together we can gather more," Alowyn broke the silence surrounding them.

"No," Garmr growled.

Herja rolled her eyes. She was annoyed by Alowyn's constant attempt to work together, and she was equally bothered by her partner's open display of hostility. However, she knew she shouldn't be surprised, Garmr was known for wearing his emotions on his face.

"Can we get on with this," Herja interrupted the pair's stare down. Her voice let everyone know she was done with any complaining.

"Yes," Garmr spat, "separately."

Alowyn sighed and flew into the ceiling of the area. She was going to use the same technique she used previously. It was easier this time, she knew where to find the roots when she needed them. However, she assessed the area under her before she asked for their help. Before, she was hanging on the ceiling upside down like a bat. Her view of the area was clear and she found very little to steal. It was like someone had already picked the area over.

Herja and Garmr watched their companion hesitate. They briefly wondered what might have caused her to pause, but they realized why when they brought their attention to the area before them. It was fairly barren like no one lived there. Herja and Garmr shrugged their shoulders not feeling the need to hesitate like their companion. They moved around the edges but were immediately caught.

“Hey!” A Haedian shouted at them.

Herja and Garmr froze and took in the angry crowd that moved toward them. Garmr smirked, this was just what he was hoping for; a fight. Herja could feel her partner’s excitement and groaned, knowing nothing good was going to come from this interaction.

“You’ve been stealing from us,” Another Haedian yelled as they got closer.

“So?” Garmr sneered. Herja rolled her eyes.

“We haven’t stolen anything,” Herja lied, “yet.”

Alowyn was in the rafters staring down at the agitated crowd approaching her companions. She knew this wasn’t going to go well. She could hear the conversation and shouting from where she was. She groaned anytime Garmr spoke. He was clearly trying to anger them further, while Herja seemed to understand it wasn’t a good time to fight, even if she wanted nothing more than to tear into them. Alowyn watched the argument unfold, hoping they could make it out without a fight.

“Let us go,” Herja said as if she was bored, “You caught us before anything happened.”

“Hardly, it can’t be a coincidence that members of the clan have reported stolen goods, and now you show up.” The first Haedian snapped.

“There’s no proof,” Herja continued, while her partner started to snicker. Garmr’s energy was cracking through the air around them. Herja knew it was a warning that he was ready for a fight.

“Things work differently down here, top sider,” Another Haedian sneered as they took a threatening step forward.

Garmr growled, setting his fiery eyes on the Haedian that stepped toward him. The signature effect of Garmr’s anger, lava, dripped from his lips and sizzled when it hit the ground. The smaller Haedians shifted away in fear causing Garmr to smile at them. Garmr subtly shifted his position in preparation to attack the group, but Alowyn was quick to notice. In a flurry of wings and leaves she landed between the two groups.

“Stop, Stop,” She demanded twice to each group. Her interruption only caused Garmr to rage more. Alowyn ignored the heat at her back and the warnings coming from Herja.

“There’s three of you?!” The leader of the entourage cringed.

“We’re doing this to help the Forgotten clan,” Alowyn urged, pleading their case.

“Just let me fight them,” Garmr gargled as fire and lava fell from his lips.

“Now is not the time,” Herja whispered to her partner, but he just shot her a glare.

Alowyn continued to explain the Forgotten clan’s situation and begged for their help. She described all the things she had seen in that territory and compared it to the clan in front of her. She felt like she was making headway, but when she finished her spiel there was nothing.

“We work for everything we have,” A Haedian scoffed, “They just steal.”

It was clear that these Haedians didn’t feel any sympathy towards their neighbouring clan. Alowyn sighed feeling hopeless, but it was Herja who managed to talk to them. She agreed with their sentiment as a way to warp it and turn it into something she could use to get them to agree. Garmr remained near Herja growling and taunting the Haedians, hoping for a fight.

THE FORGOTTEN CLAN

PROMPT 1 > OPTION 1  >

The clan you’ve messed with is outraged, their feelings towards outsiders have gone down.

Draw or write your Reosean facing down the angry crowd. Will you try to placate them and explain the Forgotten's less-than-fortuitous situation, or will you stand your ground and laugh in their faces?
Featuring:
Alowyn 14712
Garmr 16531
Herja 16505
