Fruits and Veggies [World Fair]

London and Lyon would head back to their warrenfall farm so that they could each collect a fruit or vegetable for the contest. Since they both helped out in the garden, they figured there was no problem with them each entering separately. More fair even if one entered a fruit and the other a vegetable, as it seemed to them the competition was split into fruit and vegetable categories.

Lyon would head over to inspect their fruits, ultimately choosing a large watermelon. Carefully picking it, cleaning it up and putting it in a cart for transport. 

London would look over the vegetables, inspecting the condition and size of each one. Settling on an extra long zucchini, needing Lyons help to carry it to their cart after he cleaned it off. 

With their cart containing a zucchini and a watermelon they would head back to the fairgrounds. Lyon would be the one pulling the cart. London followed behind to make sure their produce stayed in the cart and didn't get damaged. 

They would make their way through the fair to the sign ups for the contest, walking past the other tents. London would sign up for the veggie one of course, and Lyon the fruit. Soon enough they were told by the host which stands were theirs.

Lyon would help London move his to the table, before moving his own to a more square pallet. They wouldn't be the only one placing their produce down. Among a few other Vayron that weren't of particular note, there would be a cobalt shaggy coated puller named Cassandra. Some called her a great wizard, others a magician that liked to grant wishes, but what Lyon and London saw was a friendly face placing down a pumpkin and a rather large peach. 

Was it magic that helped a peach grow almost as large as a melon? Perhaps so, it was a good guess at least after the rumors and fantastical stories that surrounded this puller.

Once everything was entered and in its place, Lyon and London would head over to greet Cassandra. Doing so each with a soft smile and a calm relaxed posture.

“Hello! Come to enter the contest, have you?” The purple male would speak first.

“Oh, hello!” The female would state at first before continuing on, “Why yes I have, I'm assuming you are some of my friendly competition?” The female would almost sound amused.

“Hah, yes that we are. Do you enter this contest often?” The green male would chime in.

“I try to enter every year that the fair is around, though I think I may have missed one or two since it began. I believe this is the first time I've seen you two around?”

“It is our first year, yes, are we that obvious?” London would chuckle softly.

“Just figured as such since I don't remember seeing you both around. By the way, what are your names?”

“I'm Lyon and he's London.”

“Well nice to meet you both!” A pause as she would look around some, I think they are getting ready to judge.”

With the blue pullers comment, a pair of judges would come by to inspect all of the produce entered. A male elf among the judges would be jotting down scores on a clipboard as they would seem to converse. Placing ribbons upon the fruits first, starting from participation ribbons into the actual placing ones. Next would come the vegetables, with the same approach to the ribbon awarding. 

From where the three were it was hard to tell who got what at the moment. Though the anticipation was strong to know how they did. 

Once the judges had seemed to finish, they would call over all those that had entered to give the scores. Listing the places from fourth to first, it was no shock that Cassandra had gotten first with her giant peach. Although, Lyon was still pleased with getting second. London was almost taken aback when he heard he got first for his abnormally large zucchini, Cassandra placing second to him in that one. 

“Congratulations.” The blue puller would praise London for beating her pumpkin, “and good job to you as well Lyon! Second place is honestly just as good in my book.”

“Thank you.” They each would say to Cassandra, each giving their own, “congratulations” as well to her.

“I hope to see you both next year too!” She would tell them before collecting her produce and ribbons to head home. "Bye!"

"Bye." Both London and Lyon would say as they gave her a soft smile, going to collect their things as well before taking their things home. Though they would return to the fair the next chance they got after a rest.

Returning to the fair after a day had passed.
