Reos Event: the Druids - 2
Canvas followed Aeris with slow movements, feeling like he was about to walk into a trap or being captured as Haedians start to move behind him. No escape now. He sighed and speed up to get to Aeris side his eyes wandering around the cavern walls at the different shrooms moving around at the veins moving around almost like they were alive, or part of a beating heart. Part of the veins seemed shattering, a sickish purple almost moss like or like corruption spread some places it glowed sickly, and as he took a sniff he almost gagged from the sickening stench. As he was about to opewn his mouth to ask questions was when Aeris took a turn and they got to an opening grove overgrown with all kinds of plants. Animals seemed to be around and Haedians soo many places staring at him, not with curiosity no with anger, Hatred. The purple corruption seemed to also be on leaves like veins of black and he gulped. Maybe they were staring at him because they thought he did this.. this place is dying he realized. He kept up with Aeris as the male walked into an open treetrunk that made into a den before signaling with his tail for Canvas to sit down, and so he did. "what´s going on here" Canvas stammered out looking on Aeris nervously, he still felt no pain but he felt almost like he was being judged. Didnt i succed the test, didnt he want me here, so why im i being judged. Aeris seemed to take a bit of time before sitting more straight " an infecction or well a disease.. i brought you here to help you, to make you understand the balance. but the truths is everyone here blames you, well the upsiders those from the world above.. its destroying this place.. and you all brought this here" Aeris said the last bit coming with a bit of anger and hatred and Canvas couldnt help but shake. "im sure. if its from above that we didnt mean to do this, that it wasnt intentional.. i not like seeing things getting corrupted" he said and look at his paws, he was a true example of something that became currupted, corrupted from the humans touch, corrupted from they experiments and he realised he couldnt let a place this pretty get the same fate. " maybe not.. but is happened its destroying EVERYTHING HERE and we tried everything. EVERYTHING! we know of" Aeris said in anger and showed his teeth, making Canvas back a little up. Almost feeling small for a second and almost feeling a tiny hint of pain on his back, he closed his eyes thinking for a bit before looking on Aeries sereiously. " Let me help maybe you need someone from the outside to look on it differently. im sorry for this i know what its like to be corrupted" he looked down and sighed " please Aeris let me try staunch this illness let me try stop the potential catastrophe it brings" he said seriously and stood up trying to make himself seem bigger. Aeris looked ast him for a while thoughtfull " and who says if you wouldnt make it worse, you almost killed that deer remember" they said judgementally. Canvas didnt back off he just looked on Aeris with fury " i wouldn´t.. please Aeris trust me either.. i stop it or it will keep go. take this shot trust in me" he said and tried give a smile. Aeris nodded " oki.. fine i take a shot, after all you said you understand corruption.. you know how it is and i smell it now you are corrupted in a different way.. i show you where we think the source of this illness is or atleast where its worse" Aeris said and stood up and before Canvas could say much the Haedian already left the tree den. He followed him quietly as they moved between trees and plants until Aeris after a while stopped at a tiny hill that dipped down towards what looked like a hole or a lake filled with a mixture of purple and black goo. veins in the hole completely corrupted, leaves doing around it. It almost semed like it pulsed with energy, this was truly the heart of this disease he thought and gulped. "good luck" Aeris said and turned leaving him alone. He moved downward towards the source trying not to touch it as he reached a paw to touch the almost water. He felt a tinge of pain and sickness as it spread on his paw and he tried to shake it off and it burned a bit of fur off. He then gulped as it adapted and seem to spread and not burn anymore and he felt no pain almost like the illness tried to take him but couldnt for some reason it couldnt do it. he moved further down before he stood all four paws in the water he then moved to sit down within it, as the corruption spread all the way on his body like black veins. Covering him to becomd dark purple and black isntead of the colorfull mess he usually is. He then still feeling zero pain, feeling almost fine from it being on him he tried to focus. As he activated the power within him making firework sparkles explode, cracking through the black layer on this back. Sparkles started to hit around on the ground making the illness almost hiss and move away from where it hit. As he bite his teeth together and making it get more and more intense the sparkles purifying the ground where it landed almost like it fought or sacred the illness off. He kept go until his body and himself couldnt handle the power surge anymore and he tumbled over and fainted on the ground unsure if he had succedded in saving the grove. In purifying the area fully or if he had failed and in his attempt maybe was gonna be corrupted wiht blackness forever?
Option 2: As your character delves deeper into the Druids' world, they uncover unsettling truths about the forest's future - an aggressive botanical disease, brought from the world above. Leaves are being overtaken by veins of black, and several plants have been choked out already. Whispers among the druids blame the upsiders, and you're met with more than a few distrusting stares. You need to help and assure them that this wasn't intentional.
Draw or write your Reosean attempting to staunch this illness and the imminent catastrophe it brings. Will you succeed or fail in your quest to save the sacred grove?
