Druids Clan: Sisters 1

The three sisters rapidly left the Tranquil Clan feeling very unwelcome, but they weren’t too surprised. However, they weren’t sure what way to travel next. They’d spent so much time in the Tranquil clan they forgot which way was back toward the Brutes.

“What if we go separately to search each tunnel?” Furor suggested.

Kaimana shook her head, “We don’t know how far down each go. We should stay together.”

Furor and Kaimana looked to their eldest sister waiting for her input, but when they saw her Cheiro was looking off into space. They waited a few more moments before snapping her out of whatever daze she was in. However, Cheiro was deep in thought trying to remember the way to go. Furor and Kaimana called her name with no reaction as Cheiro continued her thought process.

“This way,” Cheiro called as she took off in a shadowy blur.

Startled, Furor and Kaimana looked at each other before scrambling after her. Kaimana quickly vapourized into a ghostly wisp. She easily caught up, but Furor growled after both of them. She flew hard and fast as she mumbled curses out under her breath.

The three sisters flew through the underground tunnels. They watched the flora increase and more light from the glowing plants. Eventually, the tunnel opened to an area filled with unique trees and animals. There were massive pillars covered in greenery and Haedians gliding around them. It wasn’t long before one of the haedians spotted them and approached.

The four reoseans landed together in a small clearing.

“Strangers,” the Haedian grunted, “what brings you here?”

“We’re making our way through,” Cheiro answered, “experiencing the clans.”

The Haedian made it clear they didn’t trust the three empyrians. They stayed silent as they sized up the sisters. A short while after, the Haedian told them to carry on, they weren’t welcome.

“We won’t hurt you or your domain,” Furor pressed.

“We can prove it if you need,” Kaimana added quickly.

The Haedian eyed them but eventually relented. “Fine, follow me,” They said.

Cheiro, Furor, and Kaimana followed the haedian as they walked through the unusual forest. A blue purple glow filled the space making everything feel more alien. However, the three sisters were fascinated more than they were put off. Everything was new and exciting, reminding them why they went on this journey.

Furor and Kaimana weren’t used to walking on their hands and feet, they quickly started to feel sore and uncomfortable. Cheiro wasn’t doing much better, but her extra limbs gave her a slight advantage on the mossy terrain. The three were on the verge of complaining when their reluctant guide turned to them.

“There’s an injured fawn ahead,” they explained, “Please help us calm and heal.”

Cheiro nodded, she led her sisters through some clusters of glowing mushrooms. The Haedian stood off to the side watching how they’d handle the situation.

“We just have to use what we learned from the Tranquil clan,” Cheiro said simply.

“But-” Furor started to remind them that they were practically kicked out of that clan, but Kaimana quickly knocked her shoulder.

“Should be easy enough,” Kaimana interrupted her younger sister.

Furor caught on to what Kaimana was trying to avoid, so she let the words die on her tongue. She turned her attention to the plants around them. Cheiro joined her in the search for herbs they would recognize. While they searched, Kaimana approached the injured animal.

The small creature looked similar to the fawns she was used to seeing topside, but there were slight differences in coat colour and eyes. Kiamana refocused on assessing the animal. It was barely hurt, a small scratch on their leg.

“You’ll be okay little one,” Kaimana said as calmly as she could without appearing too threatening. She cast a small spell to soothe the small creature's fear.

Meanwhile, Furor and Cheiro only found a small claw full of herbs. It was enough to help, but not enough if they made any mistakes. The limited resources made Cheiro and Furor nervous, but they did their best to mask any hesitation as they approached Kaimana and the animal.

“I’ll strip the leaves and prepare a salve,” Furor said as she settled beside the small animal.

“It’s a small cut,” Kaimana informed them, “We don’t need much.”

“That’s good,” Cheiro chuckled, “We didn’t find much.”

Furor used flat rocks to mash the leaves together into a clumpy paste. The leaves were soft enough that it didn’t take much to mash them, even with Furor’s clumsy claws. Cheiro looked around and spotted their Haedian guide. She was uncertain that this would persuade the suspicious reosean of their innocence.

Cheiro took the paste, carefully approached the animal, and smeared it on the small cut on their leg. She looked around again, this time looking for a crystal. However, despite being in Vitalus they found it difficult to find any crystals.

“What are you looking for?” Furor asked.

“Crystals,” Cheiro mumbled.

“You won’t,” The Haedian piped up, “find any in the section of the forest.”

Cheiro nodded and watched as Kaimana continued her calming spell. There wasn’t much for them to do. Furor ended up inspecting some of the mushrooms in the area. The three sisters practiced their patience. This was usually the time any one of them would break out and aggressively demand what they wanted.

“Thank you for your help,” the Haedian said after minutes of silence, “I’ll connect with someone to take over.”

The three sisters nodded and waited.

The Druids Clan: PROMPT 1

Communication with all animals and plants is the main key to Druid’s goals. They seek to understand these beings both to understand the world around them and how they may assist their Matriarch. Due to their reclusive nature, they are not quick to trust, finding ways to impress them is no simple task.

Draw or write your Reosean attempting to make peace with the Druids by connecting with like interests. You could tend to plants, maybe assist an injured animal, or keep away any pest that might try and harm the innocent life that grows amongst the Druid.
