Magic for a Healer, Music for a Crystal
B: “You feel it, very good,” The Haedian Noka was helping, smiled as the puller took steady breaths, before exhaling slowly. “Let the healing energy flow through you, feel the life around you.”
“Oh, this is wonderful, just wonderful,” Noka smiled as she attuned with the many crystals and the magic that hummed through everything around her. The earth beneath her paws, the thrum like a beating heart that synchronized with her as she closed her eyes. Healing energy vibrated in every leaf and every critter that walked in the depths, cleansing the spirit if you allowed it to flow through freely. With each breath, the blossoms around Noka’s paws grew, before they blossomed into lush plants of all colors. Grass and ferns unraveled from the ground around her, the glowing plants practically radiating with her magic.
The patient lying on the side became surrounded by various flora, before his wounds began to seal and close. He blinked in surprise, before sharing a look with the Haedian healer.
The crystals down in the depths hold so much magic it was almost baffling to Noka. She wasn’t familiar with Vitalus to a great extent to begin with, so the flow of visions, feelings, sounds, everything the crystals housed within felt almost overwhelming.
A: Antlia had settled herself close to the healer’s den once more after her talk with Pyrri. Her eyes wide with awe as plants grew around the patient and his wounds started to heal faster than she had seen before in her life. The crystals that surrounded them reminded her much of her home, and she was curious to see what life the crystals could help flourish.
She could see the puller enamored with the crystals around her as well, and the runner moved in to sit beside her. “It’s so cool to see someone who isn’t from Vitalus harness the magic of the crystals. They are such a blessing when they’re needed, and they work for some pretty nice music too.” Antlia lifted a paw and placed it on one of the smaller crystals in the healer’s den, feeling her magic flow through it. She began to search for the more hollow parts of the crystal, and tapped it with her claw. A soft hum escaped through it and she gave a soft smile to Noka.
“We use the sounds they make as healing agents for the soul. It helps a lot of our more stressed out researchers calm down and allows them to actually relax after a hard day’s work instead of fretting about the next thing that needs to get done.” She tapped another crystal that sat close by, a lower hum escaping this one. The crystal in her paw had started to quiet down so she tapped it once more and laid it next to the other one. “Harmonization works wonders for a soul.”
B: "That sounds lovely, Antlia," Noka smiled as she settled down in her little path of plants. With a gentle paw, she touched some of the plants, watching them flutter and glow. "In Roenden we don't really have such elaborate magics like Vitalus does... The magic there is very earthy, spiritual almost, embedded in the earth and the roots. Here it's in the air, in the crystals, everywhere," Noka spoke with reminisce and awe as she looked around the cave. "As far as musical crystals, I'm afraid we don't have such things," she chuckled, "We make chimes, drums, and plates from bone or leather or even metals to create some ambiance. I have outside my home to play some sweet sounds in the morning breeze."
A: The runner listened in amazement, they didn’t have a lot of items made from things outside of the plants and crystals they could find in Vitalus. She reached out a paw to stroke the leaves of one of the plants by the runner, a softness running through her. “I think I’d like to visit someday, it sounds like it would be very nice to visit.”
Antlia never thought about tying crystals up outside her home, but now that the idea was stuck in her head she’d do it as soon as she got back. It would be a memorial of the time the two spent together on their adventures down here, and she could look back and enjoy the fun memories. “I can feel it too, it feels almost like I’m in a fairy tale.” Maybe she was in some sort of fairy tale, these beings they’ve met seemed like they jumped out of one of her books from when she was a pup.
“If it is a fairy tale, I don’t think I’d ever want to leave.” She flopped backwards, landing beside Noka and staring up at the ceiling of the healer’s den. “I’m excited to see where else they need our help here, Pyrri is very lovely.”

THE TRANQUIL
Option 1: The Tranquil have watched you as you worked and believe they would like to share some of their unique gifts with you.
Draw or write your reosean being tutored by one of the Tranquil clan members. They could be showing your reosean how to harness the power of crystals to heal, meditating to predict the future, or simply partaking in some of the clan's culture.
