Asarb and Piers managed to quickly recover from the demanding challenge that was the stone challenge afterwards the two reuinted with Cailu. The aforementioned had a quick discussion with Zarod before calling the two pullers over. "Zarod told me the directions to the next clan, their leader is called Pyrri and they specialize in mending wounds and taking care of those in need." With a quick goodbye ushered to Zarod before the three would be on their way they actually also ran into their grape coated friend once again- who traded places with Asarb as how he put it, "Business had been taken care of-" and with that there was no need for Asarb to hang around anymore.

He parted ways with the group before the three continued on their way deeper into the cave system beneath Vitalus. "We must be getting close." said Cailu, looking for landmarks in the twisting tunnels before them- Vranjad, who had been catching up with Piers up until that point, perked his ears to see if he could hear Haedians talk- or other noises that would indicate which tunnel theyd have to go down next. "HELP!" a shriek by an unfamiliar voice cut through the silence of the tunnels.

Piers sedately strode along the path, following behind Cailu as he guided the shadow coated puller and the recently returned grape coated runner Vranjad. He was mildly lost in his thoughts, thinking back over the events of the last few days, from the Stone Challenge to the departure of Asarb alongside the return of Vranjad. He wondered what was so important but it was none of his business.

"HELP!"

A cry broke him from his thoughts, long ears perking up and twisting in the direction of the sound, head whipping around moments after.

An unknown haedian came sprinting around the corner from a tunnel, covered in a layer of dust, face and chest marred by a variety of cuts. They were ignoring the blood dripping from the wounds as they ran towards the trio.

"Please, you've gotta help! My cousin and I were going into the mines to gather some ore and rocks started falling on us- I'm okay but he got hit pretty hard!"

Piers glanced at each of his companions, catching their eye and assessing their own reactions, before nodding at the newcomer.

"Lead the way."

Vranjads paws drummed across the stone cavern walls as they and their companions made haste to keep up with the injured haedian.
Rushing down the tunnel the choking scent of rock dust that had started to settle filled Vranjads nostrils which he recoiled from.

"Over here." said a weak voice and the haedian that had led them to the spot knelt down next to what at first glance from the amount of dust they were covered in could have been a rock formation, if it hadnt been for the flecks of crimson riddling their form.

Cailus face twisted into that of immense and intense worry upon seeing the injured haedian, and much to Cailus chagrin the injuries justified their level of worry.
Vranjad looked to Piers, who had already walked over to the injured haedian to directly assess the wounds seeing that vranjad pulled out his water skin and offered it to the injured haedian.
With Piers assessing the more gravely injured one alongside Cailu, Vranjad looked over the other haedian but saw that most of the cuts on them werent deep and if they were cleaned they shouldn't pose a problem.

"Right we can help them- just let me... think." said Cailu looking panicked.
"Herbs! Come help me we can make a paste. Hurry!" he spoke their voice quivering, which was unusual for their haedian guide.

Piers paid close attention as Cailu started describing the various plants in the area that could be used for medicinal purposes. He was all too aware of how important it is to not confuse the plant you're planning to use for a potentially harmful one.

While Vranjad helped the wounded haedian to drink, beforing rinsing the lacerations with the remaining water, Piers darted off to begin locating the plants. He paid close attention to the number of leaves, their smell and shape and texture, making sure to smell them. It took some time but he eventually had a good mouthful, and rushed back.

Cailu was anxiously waiting for him when he returned and gratefully took the herbs, the wounded haedian looking somewhat cleaner and breathing easier.

"Great, thank you Piers! He looked a lot worse than he actually was, thankfully, but he definitely needs treatment sooner than later."

The three of them quickly set to work, thoroughly mashing the various leaves into pastes and smearing them over the cuts. Some they had to encourage the haedian to lift his head and chew.

Eventually all of his wounds were tended to well enough to prevent them from worsening or getting infected, and they could hear a commotion getting nearer, before the first haedian finally rounded the corner.

Help had arrived, now to get their patient home.
