Amirqu chuckled as he glanced back at the brown coated haedian that was adorned with golden jewelry, the request they had gotten from a small child and the willingness for the merchant to agree so quickly to it and rope Amirqu and Rivule into the task too, was a fact the runner found all too amusing.

Initially having met the Haedian within Vitalus as they had set up shop as quickly as they had packed everything back into the many bags they were travelling with, Amirqu was quick to buy a set of bracers from them that they had convinced Amirqu for it to be a good bargain and the runner believed the words of this very charismatic merchant, their wares looked legit and high quality after all.

Whilst Rivule looked less than pleased with the task at hand, after all she had only gotten to steal a miniscule glimpse at Varricks stand before she was roped into helping out despite her only having intended to make a purchase herself. A child required flowers and Varrick had volunteered the two strangers and themself for the task before they could even say no, yet the merchant also wanted to make it worthwhile to the two reoseans, offering a slight discount to their wares if they helped the child. Albeit reluctantly at first Rivule accepted, whereas Amirqu had already been on board, regardless of discounts offered or not.

Varrick knew this to be a strategic move, after all if word spread that he was kind and benevolent and would even help out a human child with such a simple task as gathering flowers... well the good deed would certainly make rounds and drag him and his sales in turn more into the public eye.

"So-" started the whitecoated chaser, feline tail swishing behind her in light aggitation, "Where to then, to gather flowers I mean." It came as no surprise that whilst they were spending time in Vitalus, with neither Amirqu nor Rivule being from this continent that they'd turn to Varrick for directions. Rivule disliked being dependant on the Haedian, not because she found him to be unsympathetic, no- she just preferred to know what she was doing and then do it on her lonesome. Sticking around others always exhausted the chaser.

The same couldnt be further from the truth for Amirqu who had in the meantime eagerly already pranced ahead, hoping to spot some flowers so that he could direct the other two to them. The task at hand had put a smile on his face, a fact evident by the bounce in his step.

"I dont think it matters to the girl as much what flowers we retrieve for them." spoke Varrick, a smirk tucking on the corners of his mouth as he glanced at Rivule from the corner of his eyes. He had struggled to get a good read on this customer of his and as such had decided to keep a close eye on her as she seemed rather closed off, making reading her motives all the more difficult.

"Yes-" responded the chaser, being interrupted momentarily by Amirqu yelling that they had found some roses to pick. As they walked after the runner she gestured with her paw as if to say 'thats what im on about-' hinting at the fact that roses do have thorns and probably wouldnt be ideal for a child to get their hands on.

Varrick blinked, momentarily surprised by the chasers soft motives for being a bit difficult in the beginning, yet his expert insight told him to not question the chaser on it and just play along. Surely there was a reason why she didnt just flatout state her reasons and Varrick was not about to make her even more defensive by shining a light on it, he suspected it might be that the chaser wanted to appear tough and unapproachable- fair. All he needed to do was to play along and make her feel as such and doing so was easy for someone so learned with words as Varrick.

"Yes I see-" the response by the Haedian was measured as they walked beside the chaser. "I know of poisonous and dangerous plants- that much I can assure you. I'll make sure we dont get injured fulfilling this simple request." there, a response that carefully navigated what could have set off the small chaser, framing the concern for which flowers to pick with their own wellbeing in mind as the others  must be a satisfactory response from the Haedian to the chaser. And it was, Rivule nodded in response wholeheartedly agreeing with the statement.

"I came here to buy some wares, not to get pricked by roses or touch some harmful plantlife." she added, trying to make her reasoning even more plausible. Varrick simply smiled. He had seen behind the facade, but didnt question it, he didnt need to after all.

Soon the three came upon a meadow, rampant with wild flowers blooming. The strange fauna of Vitalus was present but more 'normal' looking plants youd normally find anywhere else on any other continent could be spotted too. Varricks eyes trailed over the meadow carefully as they looked for harmful flowers that had snuck in amongst the harmless looking flowers to deceit the unknowning traveller to pick them. Not finding any harmful ones to pick Varrick visibly relaxed and outstretched a hand to the meadow, asking the other two to go ahead.

"The coast is clear. Lets get to it." the three would split up, picking wild flowers in their own little patches to not get in the way of one another, with Amirqu having the highest amount of flowers out of any of the three by the end of it. It came as no surprise however because the runner had been gathering flowers already on their way here that this would be the case. Nobody had ever said that this was a competition but Amirqus mind had turned it into one.

"There we go." said the runner, proudly puffing out his chest. "I'm sure the little girl will be happy with everyones efforts." his speech practically dripped with pride. Rivule just rolled her eyes, choosing not to validate the runner, finding it silly to take pride in such a simple accomplishment. Varrick however grinned from ear to ear,

"This is splendid news." He said mirroring the runners excitement, as he craned his neck to glance at the chaser.

"Well done." he told her, catching her off guard with the praise, though it did put a smile on her face.

Varrick was content with their efforts, yes these flowers would do nicely in further raising his standing with the local villagers. He could practically hear the jingle of coins already as they headed back to hand over the flowers to the girl.
